I'm Bill Mueller, maybe you recognize
me now. I'm the guy behind The VCC.
I've been a Cambria local since 2000
and have had the pleasure of meeting most of you reading this; either at a
Chamber of Commerce Mixer, at a Rotary meeting or working with you or
someone you know over the years.
I am an Internet web developer and I
also handle computer calls here in town. Below are websites I have built and
if you visit them, they will be opened in a new window so you can
return to wherever you came from.
I have numerous websites you may have
seen before;
(1) My personal website is
www.BillMueller.com
and it reflects my personal life with a business inclusion.
If your
www.name.com is available, grab it. There is a "Bill Mueller" who
played Major League Baseball and was part of a World Series Championship
with the Boston Red Sox. I can part with my (.COM) domain name
www.billmueller.com
for the right price if anyone knows Bill; I'll
even offer a 10% finder's fee unless he finds me first.
I'm also a member of Sunrise Rotary
here in town and our club website is
www.CambriaRotary.com
and it's fundraiser website is
www.RotaryRidesAgain.org.
(2) My business is Cambria Computer &
Internet and it's website is
www.CambriaComputers.com; every business should have a website these
days. I refer to the services I provide as a business.
(3) My community website is
www.VisitCambriaCalifornia.com which has been a true pleasure in
building.
I call it "The VCC" for short and it
benefits our quaint little village as a destination website portal for
visitors to our area and Hearst Castle. I keep an up-to-date-as-possible
Online Business Directory for locals and visitors to have the information
they want online.
Back in 2000, I started getting
visitors from all over the world emailing me about lodging places, visitor
information, "where is?" questions and Hearst Castle information. I decided
to build the website to answer the questions. The VCC has grown in more ways
than I imagined when I started it.
The VCC Lodging Request Service has been
in operation for 5 years as a paid service and I thank all the subscribers
who have stayed on board. Now I am looking into expanding the service as
well as offering additional services in other areas. As things change,
things change... for the better, of course.
(4) Following up on (3) above with web
development expansion, I have additional website and community service
ideas; some functional now and some coming to be functional soon.
A website I use for marketing purposes
is www.Cambria.biz. The
".BIZ" domain has been around a few years now and starting to be used more
often. It's also for sale and maybe www.Cambria.com
would be interested.
I have
www.Highway1California.com which is alive and currently being built for
business and commerce along the beautiful, mostly, 2 lane highway from the
town of Leggett in Northern California down to the San Juan Capistrano area
in Southern California.
I also have websites that are just
thoughts right now, but if anyone has any ideas, let me know and maybe we
can do some business (they are for sale as well),
make some money and have some fun along the way depending on the website.
Those websites are...
www.CambriaMayor.com which could be historical and a fun thing
for the town and maybe raise some money for a good cause. I have a redirect
on it now.
www.CambriaRealEstate.biz is a thought for some business real
estate referral system here in Cambria, CA or maybe Cambria County in PA. or
maybe both. I have a redirect on it now.
www.CambriaTravel.com
actually works now and is a redirected website to my online lodging
reservation system. My original thoughts were to do something else and until
I get there, this function is fine with me. Maybe a travel agency?
www.CentralCoastWeddings.com is a thought since Cambria is a
destination for newlyweds and anniversaries. I know most of the people
involved in the industry here in town and we should get something going. I
have a redirect on it now.
For the San Simeon area, I have
www.SanSimeon.us and
www.SanSimeonCalifornia.com websites.
Maybe the town businesses, Chamber and Hearst Castle would be interested in
these domain names. I have a redirect on both now.
A brand new website I just secured in
2007 is
www.Cambria.tv. The
".TV" extension has been released recently and who knows where it will
really go, but it will surely reflect video online. I am thinking something
like an actual television station as we know it now. It would be just
"another" Channel on the TV. The website could have sections for CCSD
meetings and the organizations that make a town a town. There could be local
shows and event listings, etc. that could be very informative and valuable
to the community. We'll see what really happens. It's also for sale and
maybe www.Cambria.com would be
interested.
